Sheri Burhoe - Fine Artist
Hampton, NB - Canada
Allowing myself to work freely is how I produce the expressive works that I do.I have been drawn especially to artists Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh and Marc Chagall.
I work as a visual artist using oils, acrylics, ink, pastels, charcoal and mixed media/collage in expressionism style. I'm active in promoting my work online and within group and solo exhibitions year round. I also make Jewelry sometimes although, mostly for myself, friends & family as well as, knitted things which I use in my assemblages. I also have an interest in photography, creating digital images. I shoot all of my own self photos, and enjoy taking photos of people and things around me in nature. Within my painting work especially, pieces include a hidden story or message a lot of the time. Using words by writing into the surface of the work at hand, I scratch into the wet or dry paint. As well, Color may express the emotion of content, sadness, joy, love, even anger or disappointment.
